Our City Lights package gives you a true taste of Coastal Maine and Boston being the “Gateway to New England”. This amazing package takes you from Boston to Bar Harbor where you’ll enjoy a private driving tour of Acadia National Park. From Bar Harbor you will be taken along the coast to Camden, Maine to enjoy a windjammer sail in Camden Harbor followed by a visit to Maine’s largest city, Portland. All of these destinations are located on the coast with their own unique personality, characteristics and style. This 8 night package can be adjusted for more or less nights if needed.
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
- Round-trip Amtrak Downeaster.
- Amtrak station transfers throughout (except Boston). Available as an option.
- Eight-nights accommodations.
- Two trolley tours (Boston & Portland) [PRIVATE OPTIONS AVAILABLE].
- Half-day tour of Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park + Lobster Boat Excursion. (Tour is private or we have a lesser priced option).
- Windjammer Sail in Camden or Rockland.
- Breakfast in Camden.
- Camden and Rockland area drive.
- Harbor cruise in Portland.
- Portland trolley tour or upgrade to 2 hour small group tour of Portland including 3 lighthouses.
- All taxes.
Day 1 & 2 – Arrive in Boston for a 2-night stay enjoying a trolley tour and exploring Boston’s many historic neighborhoods
Day 3 –Depart Boston for Brunswick via Amtrak Downeaster and transfer to Bar Harbor. Overnight in Bar Harbor.
Day 4 –Enjoy a half day tour of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park with a local guide + lobstering excursion on the water. Overnight in Bar Harbor.
Day 5 –Depart Bar Harbor for Camden or Rockland, Maine. Overnight in Camden/Rockland.
Day 6 –Relax and enjoy a Windjammer Sail , May through Mid-October + a leisurely drive through Camden and Rockland’s sites. Overnight in Camden/Rockland.
Day 7 –Depart Camden/Rockland for Portland. Overnight in Portland.
Day 8 –You’ll have the entire day to explore Portland’s “Old Port” and enjoy a trolley tour and harbor cruise. Overnight in Portland.
Day 9 –Depart Portland via Amtrak Downeaster to Boston to end your tour. We suggest a mid to late afternoon flight if you are departing Boston this day.
(Add on an optional Culinary Walking Tour while in Bar Harbor!)
