We just returned from a ten-day Maine vacation, featuring the state’s beautiful coastlines and quaint towns along with its mountains, welcome cool breezes and low humidity. We visited Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park), Camden, Boothbay Harbor, Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, and Portland.
Downeaster Vacations took care of all the details, including sites, tours, accommodations and transportation. Kristen did a marvelous job working with us to put together a package that met our interests and needs.
The trip had the added benefit of allowing us the flexibility to travel independently on dates we selected rather than with a group during this peak Summer travel season. We also appreciated the friendly drivers and excellent touring services Downeaster Vacations arranged for us.
We especially enjoyed our time on and near the water. That included sailing on a schooner in Camden, a seals, lighthouses and lobster haul cruise in Boothbay Harbor, and a boat ride along the Portland waterfront and nearby islands. Kudos for a job well done!
